Practical methods for effective models in residential development
2-day international educational forum

June 24-25, 2019
The central event in the methodology for assessing and designing the quality of the living environment and the effectiveness of development projects first presented on the defense of theses at the University of Rome La Sapienza (Italy) in 2018. The technique was developed in the course of scientific research (authors Natalya Balukhina and Alfia Gibadulina), based on systematized recent international experience and a large number of studied modern Russian cases. The result of the research are tools and matrices that allow quantifying the economic efficiency and quality of development projects according to 4 basic characteristics: density, compactness, coherence, and diversity.
Practical methods for effective models in residential development
There is a close relationship between urban form and sustainable economic development, but it is not obvious.

Are there any methods to measure this relationship?
How to combine Russian regulatory requirements with new building formats?

FORUM PURPOSE
provide working tools to increase profitability of development projects using effective and innovative solutions
An educational forum "Practical methods for effective models in residential development"
was held in Moscow on the 24th-25th of June, organized jointly by the Developer's school and Pinar Consulting. The forum was attended by 12 speakers, including 8 invited from Italy, Holland, Finland, and China.

The forum gathered 60 participants from Russia and the CIS countries - key developers from construction and investment companies.

The program content of the forum gradually covered approaches to the qualimetric assessment of the efficiency in residential development models. On the first day, the reports covered topics ranging from real estate trends to performance measurement methods. The second day dealt with financial, technological and legal aspects. The interest and questions from the listeners were evoked by numerous examples from Russian and foreign practice, which were described in the reports of the speakers. The most vivid discussions of the participants were caused by the presentations of the second day on the research on lost financial opportunities and qualimetric programs.

The forum confirmed the relevance of the topic and the demand of the professional development community for scientific approaches to the formation of quarterly development and integrated development projects. The demand for new technologies and methods for the efficiency of development is also increasing.
